_Britni is a Master’s Level Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Therapist, with additional certification in birth and reproductive trauma. She has a Child and Youth Care Counselling Diploma, is a certified circle of security parenting education facilitator, and has extensive experience supporting children, teens and parents. Britni offers individual therapy for parents, those trying to conceive, and pregnant folks/partners
It was her own lived experience with infertility, becoming a parent, and struggling with perinatal mood and anxiety challenges that cultivated Britni’s passion for this incredibly tender and important work.
Our society tells us the story that becoming a parent is supposed to be natural, beautiful, and intuitive. That creating the family we’ve dreamt of will happen within our timeline and bring endless joy. Although there can be truth in this, many parents are left disoriented with the gap between their expectations and the reality they are faced with. We are surrounded by messages that we need to do it all for our children, but also find time for ourselves and our relationship. In the midst of these challenges, it can feel lonely, overwhelming and leave parents with a sense of personal failure. You might be wondering who you even are anymore and unsure if things will ever change.
If you are struggling, you are not alone, and it doesn’t need to stay this way. My goal is to support parents, as well as individuals who are trying to start a family, in whatever phase of this journey they find themselves in. We aren’t meant to do this alone. My approach to therapy is highly collaborative, trauma-informed, and non-judgemental. Parents need a safe place to land; where they can have their challenges acknowledged and validated, while exploring ways to increase their capacity to manage the ups and downs of raising children.
I strive to offer a warm, comfortable and compassionate space in therapy. Together, we will establish goals that meet your needs, honour your values, and consider the factors that make you uniquely you. My hope is that our work together will support you to better understand yourself, establish strategies and new ways of thinking to manage stress and anxiety, and find a little more ease and self-compassion in your parenting journey.

Wendy is a Master’s level Registered Social Worker with 30 years of experience supporting individuals, couples and families. She has advanced training in perinatal mental health and birth and reproductive trauma, and Wendy is also a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (2015). Wendy offers individual, couples and family therapy, and specializes in perinatal/parenting support, ADHD, grief & loss, and inter-abled couples and families.
Parenthood, especially new parenthood can be wonderful, messy, exhausting, imperfect, confusing and disorienting. Human babies are a lot of work and few books talk about how it’s going to feel inside. This stage is one that can take a toll on ourselves, our marriages, our relationships with our own parents and our other children. Often clients have tried on their own but feel lost, overwhelmed, disconnected, ineffective and afraid. Asking for help is so courageous and strong and such a caring thing clients do for themselves and their relationships.
Wendy offers an effective attachment based treatment called Emotionally Focused Therapy which helps individuals, couples and families get out of unhelpful patterns of relating to themselves, or each other, and creates more secure, more loving patterns that work in your life now. This a stage were moms, dads, and sibs need so much more support and guidance on how to talk about all the messy stuff in in a way that brings them closer to themselves and each other.
Wendy is a relatable human being who will welcome all parts of you, your relationship or your child – even the parts you may struggle to embrace. She will help you have greater connection to yourself and to important others so that you can find emotional balance to get through life’s unexpected turns.
Wendy is the older mom of the group, remarried to the love of her life and raising two kids who are now teens/young adults. Friday nights, she and her crew order pizza, and squeeze on the couch with the dog to watch a movie. The dog is the most jealous sib of the bunch often squeezing between whoever is snuggling to make sure he isn’t left out.

Andrea is a Master’s level Registered Social Worker, Certified in perinatal mental health and birth and reproductive trauma, a trained Emotionally Focused Therapist, and certified EMDR provider, with over a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples and families. Andrea offers virtual therapy across Ontario for individual adults, couples and families, as well as providing parenting support.
I know first hand how becoming a parent changes you - and fathers are not immune to mental health challenges during this time either. For some, experiences of grief, loss and trauma shape our early parenting journey, and we might feel isolated, afraid, or even ashamed about the thoughts and feelings we are having. Parenting standards today encourage us to sacrifice everything for our children, and to do it all with a smile - so we suffer silently.
My own struggles in parenting, including my lived reality of grief and traumatic loss bring me to this work - and allow me deeply connect with other parents who are craving a place to bring all of their parenting experiences - the joyful, and the excruciating.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can safely explore your emotional experiences around parenting and the impact this has on you and your important relationships, and offer the tools and resources you might benefit from to make the changes you desire.
In our time together, I seek to empower my clients to feel connected and secure with themselves and their partner; communicate effectively; gain confidence to navigate parenthood; problem solve in a safe and non-judgemental way; increase understanding of the connection between different parts of the self; live in the present moment; improve self-esteem; reduce stress; improve coping skills; feel increasingly hopeful; recover; heal; and, ultimately, live joyful and meaningful lives.

Mandy holds a Master of Social Work degree and is a certified Perinatal Therapist with additional certification in birth and reproductive trauma treatment. She brings a wealth of experience supporting parents in various stages, with a special focus on the early parenting years. Mandy offers services for individual adults and draws from a number of modalities in her work, including emotionally focused therapy. Mandy is also a certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider and regularly runs The ADHD Mom Collective here at Whole Family Psychotherapy.
Parenthood can be a profoundly beautiful and rewarding time. It can also be humbling, difficult, and sometimes painful. Adjusting to parenthood, whether as a first-time parent, or as additional children join your family, can bring unexpected and deeply challenging feelings such as regret, resentment, rage, anxiety, and grief. Our most closely held relationships may change, and so might our sense of identity and self-esteem. For those of us with hormonal sensitivities and neurodivergencies, this time can be especially challenging.
Mandy uses her own lived experience as a parent with ADHD who struggled with their mental health during the perinatal period to relate, empathize, and connect with parents as they adjust to this stage of life. She offers her genuine curiosity and unconditional acceptance to learn how parenthood is uniquely impacting you and your family. Mandy will work with you to find which of the tools in her toolbox you find most helpful. From there, she will create a plan to help you meet the goals you’ve set for yourself during your time together.
Mandy will walk alongside you as you navigate this time of your life. She is a safe and caring person who may have experienced many of the things you are struggling with. Together you will develop strategies for coping with the aspects of parenthood that aren’t always pleasant and move towards fully embracing what can become one of the most beautiful and cherished phases of life.
A little about Mandy outside of work:
I love to camp! I sleep better in a tent than I do at home and would rather be lakeside with a good book than pretty much anywhere else. I love to explore the backroads of Northern Ontario and find new places to camp, hike, paddle, fish, and swim with my partner and teenage son. When not adventuring, I love to garden, attend concerts, crochet, read, and cook for my family.

Annette is a Master’s level Registered Social Worker and Perinatal specialist with 16 years of experience providing counselling to children, parents and families. Annette offers individual therapy and parenting support for parents in the perinatal period as well as later stages of parenting. Her services are fully virtual and available to all residents of Ontario.
While becoming a parent can bring joy and fulfillment, the changes and stressors that accompany the perinatal period (pre and postpartum) can also have substantial impacts on a parent’s mental health. Nothing can easily prepare parents for this significant new role, and our expectations tend not to line up with reality. New parents are often overwhelmed with how all consuming caring for a baby can be, are managing challenging shifts in their important relationships, and may not yet have the capacity, support or skills to cope.
It is so important to feel heard and understood whether you are a new parent or in later stages of parenting. I offer individual therapy and parenting support sessions to help parents navigate this significant transitional period in their lives. I will support you to make meaningful gains in addressing the unique challenges you are facing, and help to increase your sense of ease in parenting. I will help you understand and validate your own needs and assist you in accessing family and community support. I will work with you to help you understand your child’s various emotional needs, provide insight into your child’s behaviour, and help you build a sense of confidence in your new role. Together, we will build resilience and capacity to work through this challenging time.
Prior to my work in Perinatal Mental Health, I worked for many years in infant, child and youth mental health. This work with children focused on parent-child relationships, which led to my strong interest in providing perinatal mental health support to parents during these often challenging early months and years of parenting.
I am committed to understanding you as a unique individual, and will support you through your parenting journey from a place of deep compassion and acceptance. I aspire to support you in gaining a greater sense of connection with yourself, your child(ren), and support systems, and shift from a place of survival into a place that feels lighter - a place where you can thrive in your various roles, and manage the ups and downs that come with parenting in a way that feels good for you.
